Hello,

Before a very important subject is discussed, CPAnet would like to extend a big GOOD LUCK to all of those preparing to sit for the CPA Exam!!

This sticky post has been created to provide the hard facts about sharing the details of your exam experience.  Basically in a nutshell, it is not allowed...not here, not by the AICPA, not by NASBA and not by any State Board of Accountancy.

Some very good information has been posted by other CPAnet members throughout the forums and excerpts will be moved over to consolidate the information into this sticky.

In the meantime, if you see any posts you feel are questionable; please do not hesitate to liberally use the Report Button.  You will find it in the upper right corner of each and every post at CPAnet.

Thank you for reading as well as your cooperation and help.
CPAnet

Examination Confidentiality

Before you begin your examination, you will be required to accept the terms of the following confidentiality and break policy statement.  If you do not accept the statement, your test will be terminated and your test fees will be forfeited.

Confidentiality and Break Policy Statement

I hereby certify that I will respect the confidentiality of the Uniform CPA Examination. I attest that I will NOT:
- Divulge the nature or content of any Uniform CPA Examination question or answer under any circumstance
- Engage in any unauthorized communication during testing
- Refer to unauthorized materials or use unauthorized equipment during testing
- Remove or attempt to remove any Uniform CPA Examination materials, notes, or any other items from the examination room

I understand that I am required to report to the AICPA any examination question disclosures or solicitations for
disclosure of which I am aware.

I understand that breaks are only allowed between testlets. I understand that I will be asked to complete any open
testlet/simulation before leaving the testing room for a break.
In addition, I understand that failure to comply with this attestation may result in invalidation of my grades, disqualification from future examinations, expulsion from the testing facility and possible civil or criminal penalties.

Question:
Online vs. E-mail?

Answer:
"I will not divulge...under any circumstance" means exactly what it means, not under ANY circumstance.  Not online, not via e-mail, not in person, etc.

Hello,

To keep this forum running smoothly, actively participate by using the Report Button to notify me of any posts that are in direct violation of the confidentiality agreement OR posts that you are just not sure about.  If you are in doubt, more often than not, the post should most likely be edited or removed.

So...this is how you report a suspect posting...on each post, you will see a report button at the top right corner.  Just click on the button and I will be notified.  I will read the post in question and decide what action should be taken.
The button looks like this:  this is what the Report Button looks like...

It is really important that this discussion forum is as self-moderating as possible.  I do not have the resources to read every post that is made on this discussion forum, as the activity is too voluminous.

Therefore, it's up to you...if you want to keep this discussion forum, up, running and lively, please do your share and report any posts that make you uneasy!

Thanks!!
Brenda

It is NOT okay to reference to a particular subject or chapter of exam review material...

e.g. "I sat for the exam today, make sure you read chapters x and y..."

If you see posts of this nature, please use the Report Button.
