Hello, everybody. I just found this forum, and you all have been quite helpful already. :)

Would anybody mind sharing their experience regarding how the difficulty of actual FAR exam questions compares to the difficulty of the questions in the Wiley review books?

Same question for simulations: How does the difficulty of the actual exam compare to that of what's in the book?

Thanks!

I think the Wiley MCQs were a fair represention of actual exam questions.  I would even say that the Wiley questions were more difficult than the actual exam questions.  However, difficulty in questions depends on what version of the exam you get and how well you do in the previous testlets.  I only did a couple of practice sims so I can't tell you how they compare to the ones on the actual exam.

Some unsolicited advice: make sure you KNOW (not familiar with) Gov't acctg and Not-for-profit accounting. I think my score would have been much higher if I had studied Gov't acctg as much as I studied everything else, thankfully I had NFP accounting down to a science or I probably wouldn't have passed.

Wiley questions are more challenging than the real thing.

This at least makes me feel a little better. Some of the
Wiley questions are kicking my butt.
