Hi everyone,
I'll be the first to post! Planning to take audit second or third week in April. Hopefully, it's my last section (waiting for REG results). All exams passed first time so far so I hope AUD will not be the exception.
Good Luck to all of us!

I'm in a similar situation, fcgCPA. I'm doubting we see the REG results anytime soon though, with that second wave being extended another week.
I'm considering a mid to late April date for my test, but will be waiting for the REG results before I do anything further. Best of luck!

Hey,
I was thinking 3rd week in April. I'm waiting to receive my AUD study materials - should arrive tomorrow. I'm going to start studying in the next day or so. Not sure what to expect from AUD really but based on the postings in this forum, it should be relatively easier than FAR and REG. We'll see.....

I am taking it on 04/26/10 and this is my last one. Hope
to pass before REG expires on 4/29/10. Should be easier
than FAR but as they say generally there are two correct
answers. So, we should be careful.
Good luck to all.

That depends on how your brain works. For some reason, AUD is giving me issues. It is a smaller book with less questions to work through, but it is all theory questions with no calculations (I excel at calculation). In my opinion, it is easier to get tripped up on the theory questions. I definitely think it is easier to study for though, since there is significantly less material to cover than with any of the other three sections.

I think I'm the opposite. I prefer theory type questions although you're right in saying they can be more tricky. I'm hoping my study text arrives today. I always imagined AUD was next after FAR in terms of the amount of material. If it's less material than all other 3 sections, that's even better. I really can't wait to get going...

I'd post a picture for comparison, but you'll see soon enough. The Wiley book for AUD looks like it would be a workbook for FAR - it is that thin. My Yaeger review software had 4 DVD lectures (22 hours) as opposed to 14 DVDs for FAR and 10 for REG. So yeah, I'd say it is significantly less material. However, learning calculations can be much more straight-forward than all the possible scenarios that can be generated with theory questions.
Best of luck in your studies.
